After you take your initial assessment you will have access to an ALEKS Prep and Learning Module. The modules are adaptive comprehensive tutorials, individually tailored to your needs, based on your assessment results. From the time that you activate your module – not from the time that you take your placement test – you will have 6 months of access.
The Learning Module provides practice problems and offers explanations of concepts and procedures. You will receive immediate feedback and can ask for explanations and examples. As you demonstrate mastery of certain topics, new topics become available. You can review topics you have previously or recently mastered at any time. ALEKS will also show you your learning progress history:You can also view a detailed progress report to see which topics you’ve mastered and which topics ALEKS thinks you’re ready to learn. The sophisticated artificial intelligence behind ALEKS will keep you from getting in over your head, while giving you the freedom to chose from among the topics you’re prepared to rapidly master.
ALEKS will assign you your module based on your first placement assessment results. There are three learning modules available:
- Prep for College Algebra
- Prep for PreCalculus
- Prep for Calculus.
